Obituary for Ronald Everett

Ronald Everett
Ron Everett
May 2, 1944 - May 9, 2018

A great man, Ron Everett, passed away on May 9, 2018 with our hearts in his hands.
Ron was born in Winnipeg and resided near Oakbank most of his life. The family cottage was where summers were spent and life long memories were made.
As a young boy Ron began playing football with the St.James Rods and then the University of North Dakota. Amateur football turned into a career when he was drafted by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1966 to then be traded to the Montreal Alouettes. Ron retired from the CFL in 1970 to begin his new career with Marr’s Leisure Products. He invested 27 years in the company and only retired when it was finally sold.
Ron was a natural leader. His advice was sought out and valued by many. He was passionate about everything he took on. He shared his love for fishing, hunting and football with his sons.
Ron leaves behind his wife of 50 years and biggest supporter, Keena, his proudest achievements were his sons, Craig (Michelle) and Grant (Erin), grandchildren Kate, Brooke, Reed, Loren and Eva, brothers Linden and Blake, and other close family members.
A private service will be held at a later date.
